Description/Comments:
Here is an all original gorgeous vintage fifties Wittnauer automatic wristwatch featuring a satin silver dial that is astounding in appearance.  It is in absolutely near mint overall condition and one of the cleanest watches I have ever seen of this vintage and style.

This watch is in excellent cosmetic and running condition, and is an absolutely beautiful timepiece. It keeps accurate time.

It has a one-piece "scarce" octagonal shaped solid stainless steel case and is accessed through the crystal for service.

Case:
The all stainless steel octagon shaped case measures 1 5/16" across (including the crown) and 1 1/2" (lug to lug.)  It is 5/16" thick.  The crown is located at the 3 o'clock position.  The back of the case is marked Use All Proof 1100 Wrench.  The inside of the case reads Wittnauer - New York, Geneva, Montreal, Star Watch Co. , Stainless Steel,  2810-11KA and the serial number 5167521.

Dial:
The round shaped dial has a very eye-catching satin silver background and is in the closest to mint shape you'll ever find on an original vintage fifties watch.

The Retro-Modern Arabic hour makers at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions are a very nice style and the remaining are rectangular shapes with a grooved center surface.

The fils-style hour and minutes hands are silver with luminous centers.  And there is a nice 60 seconds sub-dial that features a cross-hair marker with a sweeping silver colored hand.

The crystal has a slight curvature on the surface and angular edges and is raised 4mm above the case.

It is marked Wittnauer (with the Wittnauer emblem) below the 12 o'clock position, and  Automatic above the sub-dial and Swiss below the 6 o'clock position.

Band:
18MM Regular genuine leather  that is padded and is blackin color.  It has a silver tone buckle.  The total length is 9."
Movement:
High Quality Automatic spotless movement with a silver and gold rotor and is marked Wittnauer, 17 Jewels, 11KA and Swiss
