Candino Watch - (circa 1930s) Military Officers all Stainless Steel with 17 Jewels and a Seconds Sub-Dial.
Description/Comments:
This is a well constructed all stainless steel vintage 17 jewel mechanical wind Swiss made Military wristwatch (circa 30s) that is in very good overall condition. It features a very nice designed dial with a seconds sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position.
Case:
The round shaped and stainless steel case measures 1 3/8" across (including the crown) and 1 1/2" (lug-to-lug).The stainless steel snap down case back is marked 012 001 and 623131.The inside of the case back is marked Endicar and Stainless Steel.
Dial:
The dial is all original with a white background signed Candino Watch, Officer, Incabloc below the 12 o'clock position; and 17 Jewels above the seconds sub-dial.The very stylish Arabic numeral hour markers are applied with a radium coating and have a silver-greenish color.There is a 60 minutes scale at the outer edge of the dial.The Mercedes-style hour and minute hands are black and have a luminous coating in their center (the minutes hand is missing some of its coating.)
There is a seconds sub-dial above the 6 o'clock position that features a very neat scale around its outer edge.
Band:
Straight nylon strap that is military green in color with a silver tone buckle.
Movement:
The mechanical wind movement is marked seventeen 17 jewels, Swiss Made.
