Advertisements can be time capsules which can capture and preserve the styles and moods of a particular era in human history. I am gathering some vintage watch advertisement images from the late 1800s to around the 1990s to get a feel for the various styles that were manufactured over the past 100+ years. Some are very interesting and a few are almost comical compared to current times.
